A Variety of styles and inspirations – Landscapes, Cityscapes, Roadside American and Mixed Media including Assemblage

I have been painting over 25 years in a variety of styles. I’m inspired by the work of my teachers, like Thomas Jefferson Kitts who does Plein Air landscapes. I’m drawn to the Barbizon School of art, impressionism, post impressionism and realism. I paint scenes around Washington such as the National Arboretum, Rock Creek Park, and Sugarloaf Mountain. Regional places like Gettysburg or inspiring vacation places like Maine.

As a boy growing up, I loved the old signage for motels, diners and service stations and Americana in general. In many cases, the places I remember as a kid are now in ruins or only signs remain. I like to travel the old roadways like Route 66, Route 1, Route 50, The Lincoln Highway, etc.

My third area of interest is mixed media / assemblage. I’m inspired by Jean Michel Basquiat, Robert Rauschenberg and Jasper Johns along with many others. My prices are very affordable – for small works, 125 including shipping up to 700 for larger works. I’ll include more images, measurements and prices soon.
